About Us

The Schreiner’s opened the Schreiner Plumbing and Hardware Company in 1946. Dave Schreiner, their son, took over the business in 1950. He ran the small hardware store and numerous plumbing trucks. Local residents Bob Trout and Jim Ryan purchased the business in July of 1998. The store was run as a Do it Best hardware store until 2002. At this time the store changed it’s affiliation to Ace Hardware. This allowed us to offer better pricing, selection, and name recognition. In March 2004, Schreiner Hardware grew with the acquisition of H&S Hardware on Parsons Ave. from Henry Schreiderer. Further growth and expansion is anticipated in the near future.
